Each doula sets her own fees. Many of our doulas are willing to provide discounts for those in true financial need.
Using a doula can help you lower the need for (and thereby the expense of) pain medications, as well as help you reduce the need for some costly procedures. Please contact us individually if you have questions. |
All of our doulas will gladly meet with you for a free interview to determine if they are the right doula for you. Because personal connection with a birth attendant is very important, we encourage all expectant parents to interview several doulas before choosing one.

Insurance and flexible spending account coverage
Some insurance companies cover doula services. Local clients and doulas have had success with reimbursement from Providence Health Plan - PEBB, MODA, Pioneer Educators Health Trust, and others. Coverage is available for Oregon Health Plan clients through InterCommunity Health Network and PacificSource. Please reach out to any one of our doulas to see if your specific insurance is covered and billable for reimbursement.
You may also submit receipts to your medical expense FSA (flexible spending account) to help reduce your costs. Local doula clients have been reimbursed by all known flexible spending accounts.
